In a narrow sense, the customization of waterproof connectors is to design drawings according to customer requirements , build the mold, and meet various parameter requirements put forward by customers .
In a broad sense, adjust the pin definition of an existing waterproof connector, customize the cable length , material , are all product customization .
What is the process for waterproof connector customization ?
1. Provide specific requirements for the customized waterproof connector
The requirements should include :
- Size information , most applications will need small size of the connector , a compact design will help reduce installation space .
- Protection class requirements , such as IP68 , IP67 , IP65 , IP69K , the specific application environment will put forward specific requirements for the protection level .
- Material requirements , different material waterproof connector may have different protection class and other performance , mostly we mean the shell material , so we can see some customer use metal waterproof connector for outdoor and harshest industrial environments .
- Application environment , is there vibration , corrosive gas liquid , high temperature and low temperature environment , these are very important .
- Electrical parameters , the voltage and current , if not reach the requirement , the connect may damaged , if excessive use of materials can lead to higher costs .
- Cable requirement and wire harness , for the molded waterproof connector customization , the cable length , cable material , cable stripping length, wire tin immersion length .
2. Quotation For the mould charge and product price of the customized waterproof connector
The CAZN sales team will assess the customer's needs , and then provide the moulding price and product unit price , after customer proved and pay the first payment and the R&D team will start their work .
3 . The R&D team draws 3D drawings for the customized waterproof connector
CAZN R&D team will draw the customized waterproof connector 3D drawing accord the requirements or customer's sample , after the drawing finished , send the drawing to customer for confirmation or further improvement .
4 . Start production for the molds of the customized waterproof connector
The molds production may need 2-4 weeks , accord to complexity and size of the customized waterproof connector , and the number of products produced in one injection will affect the size and price of the mold .
5 . Produce and offer sample for customer to approve
After the mold finished , CAZN can produce and offer samples to customer , after the customer receive the sample , may need some adjustment , or confirm the sample for bulk production .
6. Collect ballance payment for the mold of the customized waterproof connector
After the customer confirm the samples , we should collect the ballance payment and discuss bulk production with customer .
7 . Start bulk production
